Choc Fruit & Nut Slices

We made these delicious Chocolate Fruit & Nut Skices last week at Tranquillite Retreats and our guests loved them, so here’s the recipe for those of you who asked……enjoy!

Choc Fruit & Nut Slices

200g dark chocolate 70%
150g unsalted butter, chopped Or cacao butter if vegan.
pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup cranberries
1/2 cup dried figs, chopped
1 cup mixed nuts. Any kind.
Optional honey or agave nectar to sweeten

Directions:

Bring a small pan of water to boil. Place a small glass bowl on top of the pan of boiling water to create a double boiler. Add the chocolate, butter and salt to this glass bowl. Stir regularly until the chocolate and butter has melted.

In a seperate bowl, add the cranberries, raisins, dried figs and nuts.

Once the chocolate and butter are completely melted, remove from heat and pour into the bowl of dried fruit and nuts. Stir well to combine.

Line a piece of tupperware or a small dish with cling film, making sure the cling film is long enough that it hangs over the edges.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the tupperware and spread evenly.

Place tupperware in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until completely firm.

Once firm, hold the edges of the cling film and pop the solid chocolate bar out of the dish. With a sharp knife, cut into slices.
